April

So, we've just finished our last show as a four piece band for a while. Sumner, our drummer is off to the states for a month to see !!!, Animal Collective, Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Bright Eyes, Cut Copy, Elbow, Interpol, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, Lightning Bolt, Menomena, Mount Kimbie, The National,  PJ Harvey, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Warpaint, Wire and a couple of other bands at some festival in the desert in California. As well as eat Pastrami sandwiches (right)  in New York and
deal with us sending him demo's constantly asking him to start thinking of drum parts for songs while his in places like Slaughterville, Texas and Burnt Corn, Alabama.

The remaining three I, a Manians however are going to try and stay busy through this time. We have an interview and acoustic performance on Syn FM's Australian music show called 'The Hoist'. We'll be on Wednesday April 6th from 7:30pm on 90.7fm.

We'll also be playing one, potentially more shows with just the three of us. It'll be stripped down/rearranged versions of our songs so we will tell you more when we know more...

It's also the perfect time for the three of us to continue writing as much material for the follow up EP to our debut EP that we still haven't released yet. We've already got a handful of new tracks and are really excited with how its all fleshing out.

The aforementioned currently unreleased debut EP 'Fifteen Thirty Three' will be out on May 14th and we'll be announcing in the next couple of weeks the launch show as well as a tour around this.

So even with a member on the other side of the globe, we're trying to stay productive this month. We'll be sure to post any more details as soon as anything comes up.

Until next time...
